Washington County Law Library Info
The Law Library serves the legal research needs of the bench, bar, and citizens of Washington County. The Library is open to the public for research only, borrowing is provided only for members of the Washington County Bar Association.
Law Library staff cannot give legal advice, but will attempt to help patrons find books or other materials relating to the subject of their search. Researching a legal issue? Using hard copy and Internet resources, the Library makes accessible:
- annotated statutes from all states and the federal government
- opinions from all state’ appellate courts
- opinions from many PA trial-level courts
- opinions from all federal district and appellate courts
- agency regulations from all states and the federal government
- legal forms
- legal digests, treatises, encyclopedias and practice manuals
- ordinances and codes from many Washington County municipalities
- periodicals such as law reviews and legal newspapers
- court rules from all state and federal courts and from PA common pleas courts
- a small collection of legal books written for the layman
- a small collection of Washington County maps, historical and biographical materials
